new install of win 11, how many updates

I just installed windows 11 onto a HP laptop, freshly formatted hard disk, from a USB iso file. I get that there would be some updates afterwards, as there might be fixes delivered after the iso was made. After many hours of restarts and downloads, I am still getting messages about needing more.Is this going to stop sometime? It is getting to be annoying.
