need to activate windows 11 on new laptop. I linked it to desktop running windows 10 and now the laptop wont activate 11

I linked my windows 11 pro laptop which i recently purchased to my windows 10 desktop Microsoft account . Now i keep getting message that Windows Pro on the laptop is not activated If i unlink laptop from desktop will that solve issue.
