Need equivalent for SQL Server 2005 Express that will work with 12th generation Intel i7-12SSU processor

SQL Server 2005 Express will not work with processor on new PC (Intel 12th gen, i7...) The SQL is needed to install and run "The Photo Atlas of Minerals". Is there an equivalent or a work around?
