Context: I reinstalled my windows OS because my previous one won't boot anymore. I was able to successfully reinstall it without sacrificing my old files. My files were kept on the "windows.old" file. Obviously, I still need to reinstall some apps and update different softwares. One of the updates was the windows update. In the first attempt of update, my newly installed OS won't operate properly and it keeps prompting "Class not Registered" in the home screen along with a blank gray screen. I was able to get over the problem, by running some commands, and eventually successfully reinstalling
