My son’s account says ask a parent for permission to play Minecraft.

My son’s account says ask a parent for permission to play Minecraft. The parent email is incorrect and not able to be changed that I can tell after hours of trying. I want my son to be able to play a game that he bought with a gift card. Why in the world would he need permission to play Minecraft. Please help me fix this issue
