My PC's Wifi no longer works, and I have no idea why.

A few weeks ago my PC's wireless Internet connection suddenly turned excessively intermittent to the point of uselessness. I cannot account for the change, there was no update, I installed nothing, I hadn't so much as saved a notepad file for a month.As it is I get thirty seconds of functionality and it goes dead. Sometimes the icon said it's still connected, sometimes it says there's no Internet, either way nothing gets through. Troublshooting puts me through three minutes of waiting, it usually (but doesn't always) reconnect, but it works for less than thirty seconds before it's down again.
