My Microsoft account's email isn't updating in my device

I recently changed the email address of my Microsoft account, the one I use for my computer.When I open the settings menu (the one with the gear icon), it still shows the old email, but if I go to the accounts menu, it shows the new one.Does this change take time to fully show or is there something else I have to do?
