My Microphone stopped working on my laptop

I use a Logitech Headset on my Laptop which is powered by Windows 10 64-bit OS. Since, today morning, the microphone is not working. I detached the Logitech headset and spoke directly on the laptop's mic on Audio Recorder app, which didn't work. Its pertinent to say that I use a VM for working on my clients environment, which is Windows 10 Enterprise Edition. The last time I used my headset and microphone was while being on a Teams call through the VM, where I was speaking and the people at the other end were able to hear.
