my microphone doesnt work at all and just makes this weird static sound

I recently get a new pc that's updated to windows 11. Everything was working well. The keyboard was working fine as well as the mouse, headphones, and microphone. (my headphone and mic are combined into-one) Anyways, my mic randomly completely stopped working. I was calling my friends, and they said that they only heard static from me and didn't even slightly hear my voice at all. I did a microphone test, and it turns out they were right.
