My mic is not inputting and every source gives me the same like 7 things to do that dont work

Repeatedly my headphones with a mic that are connected via dongle dont transmit my voice when I accidentally unplug the dongle. Previously I have fixed it but I cant seem to get it this time. Ive even updated the dongle and headphone drivers that I was missing.
