My laptop won’t turn on

Hello, My laptop won’t turn on. The light turns on and i can hear the fan get louder and louder but then it just turns off and stops. I don’t know how to fix it. I used to unplug the battery for 5 mins then put it back in and it would work. It doesn’t anymore and i don’t know how to fix it. Please help
