My laptop won't start unless plugged in, but can be unplugged after

It started not working two days ago after working just fine before. It won't turn on without the corn being plugged up but can be unplugged after. If I plug it up after it will either A. Turn on automatically if I've pressed the power button, go into automatic repair screen loop (turning on, going to that screen and turning off.) of which the only way I can avoid it is pressing fn and f2, or B. Not turn on unless I press the power button but still go into a loop unless I press fn and f2. Then it's hard to get it to go past the troubleshooting screen to the login screen.
