My laptop went into bitlocker recovery C: drive is locked, has anyone been able to boot on a usb and reinstall successfully?

I never setup bitlocker so I do not have a key. I have tried every option to reset, reinstall, diagnose, or any other option and nothing works because the drive is locked. Its like I have to take out the drive and replace it with a new one. I have the Asus zenbook pro duo so I dont think I can, or at least trust my self to replace it, Trying to find help since any phone number I call leads me to the self help which is useless and I did get to the live chat but the chat window is just a big blank screen. Microsoft really sucks at the customer service thing but I trying every option before I pur
