My laptop stops making noise after I pause the audio.

My laptop stops making noise after I pause the audio. The only way to get sound back is to restart the device but once i pause the output stops again. The sound icon is showing up but no sound coming out. Problem started randomly when I paused spotify and when i came back audio was broken.I have trouble shooted audio drives and searched for availble updates but no errors are found. I have tried to cheack the device manager and reinstall drivers but nothing works.Im on an alienware laptop that I bought only 2 months ago, no idea what the problem is.
