My laptop is telling me it isn't connected to the internet when it actually is.

My laptop is telling me my device is offline and to sign in with my last password used on this device. But when I do it tells me the password is incorrect- in which I know bc I changed it. And this is while I'm literally on the screen to get INTO my laptop. And I have restarted my laptop twice.
