My laptop is running 50 % of my ram while in idle

My laptop currently runs 50% of the 32 GB of Ram I have installed while idling. I recently saw a slow down of laptop especially while gaming and CADing, so I went to task manager and saw my memory is constantly at 50% and capping out when running certain applications. I went through the forums and tried to follow the methods they listed. I've done the following so far:1. I ended background tasks2. I disabled some startup apps in task manager 3.
