My kindle does not connect to my PC?!

Hello everyone,My issue is the following: I need to send a file to my kindle e-reader and in all articles i've read, I am told to use my kindle charging cable to plug it into my computer before sending the correct .MOBI files there using the send-to-device option in the required application. The problem with this is that my kindle does not register as a device when I plug it in. I've tried different usb ports, even several other charging cables, the bluetooth option and restarting my kindle, nothing seems to change this.My device specs:My Kindle: 8th GenerationMy PC: Windows 10 (with the lates
