My headphone's microphone works on my phone but not with other devices; it only accesses the speakers.

I am having an issue with the microphone on my headphones—it does not seem to be working at all. Interestingly, when I connect the headphones to my phone, everything works perfectly fine, so I know the headphones themselves are functioning properly. The problem appears to be that while the headphones can access the speakers and play audio without any trouble, the microphone simply refuses to work.
