my games lag when i have another window open

Whenever i have a game running like Fortnite and i try to use different apps like Spotify or youtube my game wont stop stuttering, I've tried everything i could find and nothing works. it doesn't matter what I'm doing in the game or on the app, as soon as i have the app open my game stutters and lags. someone please help my computer is the gf63 thin
