My files folder now always freezes

Every time without fail I try to do anything in my files folder, even if it be something as simple as copying and pasting a document. it freezes. i don't know why it is doing this as I have the most up to date form of windows (as of 06/03/2022) and my computer is only a few years old.Anyone else had this problem if so were you able to fix it as it is becoming unusable at this point.Thanks!
