My Ethernet/Lan adapter keeps uninstalling itself .

I have a pc and a laptop, since the pc is old i use it as a secondary storage where i store files, and when needed i transfer them through the ethernet cable to my laptop, now i am unable to do so cuz the laptop keeps uninstalling the ethernet adapter automatically even after so many manual installs, i have tried reinstalling windows repair version but issue persists
