My desktop won't connect to internet

I have a desktop pc. The internet connects via ethernet goes from the internet box, to my desktop phone, then from the phone to my tower. I just moved around my office and disconnected the ethernet cable that I was originally connected to then to another one. Now that I am connected to the other internet box. I have internet to my phone. But it won't connect to my tower. I made sure everything is plugged in and all the same spots it was before. But it still isn't showing connected.
