my desktop Microsoft Outlook app is not launching.

When I go into apps I only see Outlook (new) which has to be set-up. Is this legitimate? Should I start using it in place of the previous Outlook app? I've not received any notifications about this change. The Outlet (new) app was installed on 11/1/24
