My computer just doesnt know what its doing

When i start my computer, everything is normal. i can type, i can freely use my keyboard for shortcuts. However, when i open a game like valorant or rocket league for example, my key board and mouse just stop working. They dont stop working completely but you cant click certain letters. The mouse is a little different, once a game is open and i tab out to search something up or click something on the web, my mouse just wont open any links, for example, if i click the youtube icon on microsoft edge, it just brings up a download option in the top right of my home screen.
