My computer isn't accepting my PIN to start up, I didn't forget the number. Now I can't log in past the password screen

My computer did an update yesterday and seemed to stall for awhile when loading the update. It went eventually went from 0% to reboot quickly. Right after, I tried to sign in with my pin and I'm told it's the wrong password. I didn't forget the pin and now can't access my computer. I don't want to set up a new account as a workaround, I didn't cause this! Whatever happened to a voice on the phone walking me thru a reboot or whatever I need to do
