My Computer boots extremely slow ... it stucks at logo for 2-3 minutes. Show ata Srst failed (errno=-16)

I have a problem with my 9 year old PC. It boots extremely slow. When i start windows , it stucks at Lenovo logo for 2-3 mins. When i boot into another os .. it stucks there well. Sometimes my PC boots very fast and shows no error. Slow booting leads to disappearing of CD Drive . When i put a CD, it shows nothing. I dont know what is going on.
