My camera hasn't been working properly and it has a weird black and white filter. Can anybody help me please?

Over the past few months my camera hasn't worked properly. It seems to have a black and white filter on, but I don't know how to turn it off. I have looked for answers of the internet and I was told to reset the camera from the application settings, but that hasn't worked either. I don't know if it has stopped working or if it's some sort of filter i have turned on accidentaly. I'd appreciate some help a lot.
