My bitlocker key will not work how do I fix this?

My computer is being repaired from a power surge. I have the one and only bitlocker key but it will not unlock the drive. What can I do? Please don't tell me to contact any kind of customer support. I just spent the past 3 hours doing that with no success. I refused to pay these so called "certified experts".
