I had an approved add-on that was recently deleted from ieaddons.com.

but I don't got any mail or reason why it was deleted how I can contact whit

ieaddon

I already tried to contact them by mail, feedback and by phone

Is there anything I can do to solve and fix the problems?

This is very important to me.

Hi,

I think you will find the terms and conditions of use gives MS the final

word on what they will or won't host on their sites. Ditto with any hosting

site.

If you have already tried mail, feedback and phone then that's it. (that is

the contact details given on ieaddons.com? Not MS in general... that will

get you now where.... Its a very big company...)

What was the name of your Addon?

A context menu to launch the selected text as a web link? I think I remember

your name and the addon that you wrote.... Its not compatible with IE8 and

could potentially be a security vulnerability. Maybe they have withdrawn it.

As I said, the terms and conditions of use doesn't give you any right of

appeal.

You could try submitting your Addon again... it may work

Regards.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your answer.

Do you know what exactly is the problem with the add-on I had?

I build it (with hard work :-) ) on the same platform as this addon is build

on -

http://ieaddons.com/en/details/photosvideos/Live_TV

and I don't understand why mine was deleted and this one approved?

it's practicaly the same, just with different features.

I would really approcoate your help here. I've worked very hard on this

addon and I think I made a good product. I hate to see all the work going to

waste.

Waiting to hear from you.

Thanks!

Hi Yoni,

I have no idea exactly why. I was mistaken, that I thought I knew your

addon....

Live TV streams..... there are international conventions on the distribution

of media. eg I cannot download from netflix or access pandora streams from

my au location.

If you are using embedded flash players then it could possible be because of

recent security vulnerabilities.

I am not MSFT so I cannot comment on what reasons they may have for

withdrawing your addon. There is not much you can do.... it is not your web

site.

Have you tried re-submitting it? as I suggested?

Regards.

What does "built on" mean? That you stole someone else's code to use as

your own?

No author or contact info is shown on that ieaddons web page, so I cannot

check if the author published under an open-source license (free does NOT

mean open source) or if it is copyrighted code. If not open source, did you

contact this add-ons author to obtain permission from them to reuse their

code?

Odd that your add-on never had a name by which to identify it.
