my acer aspire 7 laptop camera wont allow me to enable it even though its never been used since i bought it?

my laptop has never used the camera before and when i try to use it now it cant find the camera so i went to the device manager to try to update it but it said it was updated and when i tried to enable it, it said it was disabled and wasnt able to enable even though theres no way it could be broken because i havent had this laptop for that long and it has never been damaged before.
