My account has been hacked, what do I need to do?

I got an email from Microsoft saying there was an unrecognized login when I went on there was a $$511 charge on my account for an Xbox and an Xbox game plus as well as a Microsoft card. I already canceled my card and got a new one with my bank. Do I need to do to protect my Microsoft account and also how can I get a refund for the amount that was charged?
