Mutex Access EC

I was trying to use __outbyte and __inbyte to access embeded controller(EC) through io port 62/66. It may get error results sometimes. Someone told me that the EC is multi accessed by OS and driver. So I want to know is there way to mutex access the EC? I tried to access through WMI, but it said ACPI_EC class is not supported.

Any suggestions for this issue?
