Mute switch

I have a 60% keyboard and it doesn’t have volume controls but it has a useless menu aka Apps button, I want to remap that button to mute all sounds so basically be a switch for the master volume on and off. Any ideas on how to do that without 3rd party apps cause I play games where if I have any apps like Autohotkey for example I could run the risk of being banned
