Multiple issues since yesterday: start menu doesn't work, can't right-click on taskbar, can't open troubleshooters, can't open windows update

Windows 11 Home edition, automatic windows update enabled. Since yesterday I am having all sorts of problems: --L-click on start menu, nothing happens. R-click opens a list of options but clicking on any of them they do not open.--Windows-I does not open anything up. Windows-R does open the run box and I can get to some things through there.--R-click on taskbar icons does nothing.
