Moving From Windows Server 2012 to Windows Serevr 2019 on New Hardware

Dear Community,


I have following current Infrastrcuture Environment.


I have for Sites:

  1. Site DC (its our Data Center and all applications are deployed there).
  2. Site NRA
  3. Site JRN
  4. Site CH
  5. Site HO(Its Head Office)

Site DC :

It has IBM Balde Server , with three computes and failOver Cluster is configured. Its has two RAIDS RAID1 & RAID5.It also has one Domain Controller ,DHCP and of course Active Directory. Which has following Roles:

  1. Role schema Owner
  2. Role Domain Owner
  3. Role PDC Owner
  4. Role RID Owner


Site NRA:

Its a remote Site. It has one domain Controller.Its has one WSUS VM.


Site JRN:

It has two Domain Controllers and one WSUS VM.


Site CH:

It has one Domain Controllers and one WSUS VM.


Site HO:

It has two two Domain Controllers. It has one WSUS VM. Few VMs are being replicated(every 5min Asynchronous) from Site DC to Site HO.


Now with above sites having Domain Controllers , I have Active Directory and DHCP Role installed. Rememeber Each site has one DHCP.


One FSMO Role is on HO's Domain Controller i.e.

Role Infrastructure Update Owner

My domain functional and site functional level is 2003.


We are buying new hardware and are buying new Liscenses of Windows Server 2019.

Its my first time to migrate to new hrdawre with new version of windows.

How should I plan everything?

Kindly guide me with my migration plan with detailed steps.
