mouse proximity to borders brings windwos edge and taskbar into view whilst im in a game

yup, im with bob. you havent solved the issue with mouse proximity to borders opening up other tasks. im in a game that takes the whole screen, but whenever i get near the bottom or top, windows (crappy since 98se) shows the windows edge top bar or the taskbar when im near bottom. in older versions of windows with games like im playing, this never happened. 2nd question. why isnt there another pc compatible operating system for the general masses to use? why are we stuck with windows ? i guess theres apple, crapple.... im so fed up with windows i wont even come back to see if theres a
