Mouse pointer style changes to white instead of inverted every time the screen is locked

I am visually challenged and rely on accessibility features. I want to set and use the mouse pointer style to 'inverted' to assist me. But even though I set it to inverted within the 'Mouse pointer and touch' settings, it reverts to white after some period of time or if I lock my screen and unlock again. The settings menu still shows the style set as 'inverted' but actually it switches to white and I have to unset and set it to inverted again for it to work.For context I'm on Windows 11 and this is a very frustrating issue.
