Mouse pointer disappears when charging cable is attached to lenovo yoga laptop

My lenovo yoga laptop is running windows 11 pro (Version 24H2). I am having no problem with the mouse pointer (touchpad or usb mouse) when the laptop is running on battery power with a 1 or 2 monitor setup. However, when I plug in the charging cable to the usb-c charging port, the mouse pointer (touchpad or usb mouse) disappears and/or jumps from monitor 2 to monitor 1. I have tried a second charger and still have the same problem.
