Mouse clicks not working consistently.

Usually I can click with my (wired) mouse and it'll work fine, but if i hold down either the left or right mouse button it will stutter and stop clicking for a second. Sometimes my regular clicks also do not register. Things I have tried:Using another mouse (did the same thing)Using all other USB portsRestarting PCUpdating mouse driversDisabling and re-enabling usb controllersAdjusting mouse settingsI will add that this happened before, a year or two ago, and the problem fixed itself after a few weeks.
