Monitor Settings Reset

I was using my external monitor at 165Hz but I lost its HDMI cable and the current cable limit is 120Hz the problem is I can't reset the refresh rate to 120Hz from settings as I can't even use the monitor. I tried to use "duplicate screen" instead of "second screen only" to change the refresh rate of the second screen from the first screen. but it turned out to be that both modes have different settings. I guess the only solution is to make the system forgets the monitor settings as It was 60Hz at default. So how?
