Monitor goes black, says it's in power saving mode, but the computer is still turned on.

I'm having an issue where, at random times, my monitor will go blank, like it's lost power, but then the "entering power saving mode" comes on when it's plugged in but the computer is off. The computer will still sound like it's on. If I'm listening to my speakers, it'll continue to play for like 5 seconds (maybe, give or take a second) before that too cuts out.After that, the computer is completely unresponsive. It doesn't restart. I don't get a blue screen of death or any indication that there's a problem. I have to press the power button or turn off the power strip to get it to turn off. Wh
