Would Miracast mirror full data content from a PC (Windows 10) to a smart TV or does it limit content to photos,music,and videos much like the the Samsung Smart View App? Secondly,under Miracast, if the PC and TV are in separate areas of the home, would it be possible to navigate thru the PC menus etc. via TV controls or some other means at the TV location?
Lastly, my Samsung QN55Q8cam TV purchased Feb/2018, has a screen sharing menu which is nothing more than a tutorial for wireless hookup(no allow or input prompt) and acknowledges you need Windows10 on your PC for a connection.That said, I would think the TV is compatable with Miracast and you would initiate the connection from the PC. Samsung support wasn't clear on its compatability so Im asking if anyone has first hand experience with this TV or viable source to confirm. I'm unable to secure a connection currently however on a few ocassions the TV did recognize the PC as a banner appeared on the TV which had the "allow" prompt on it, however when engaged it faded away and no connection was gained. Most other attempts simply fade out with no banner prompt on the TV. So Im not sure whether I'm facing a TV compatability issue or the connection process needs debugging etc.Thank you in advance for your input.
