Migration from W10 to W11

If you do an image backup of your Win 10 computer using Win 7 Windows Backup do you think you could restore it on your brand new (or refurbished) W11 computer with most likely different hardware that that of your Win 10 computer?I remember Microsoft boasting when Win 10 came out that this was indeed possible, that on restore the HAL layer would have been miracoulously re-worked to fit the new hardware configuration.Suppose that was true, the migration path couldn't be easier! Backup old W10 computer, restore it on the new hardware, install W11 on top of it.Am I dreaming?* Changed to a question
