Hi -
Running Win 7 64-bit.
MSE has started scanning far fewer objects than it used to.
I do a manual update and quick scan most days.
MSE used to scan on 85000+ objects.
Then I got a bundle of viruses, which were stopped in their tracks by a combo of Malwarebytes Antimalware and MSE.
I then did a system restore from a backup taken 48 hours previously.
MBAM and MSE than ran uneventfully and reported all clear.
No settings have been changed on either MBAM or MSE.
Since then, MBAM has run happily each time every time.
But MSE, despite updating OK, has consistently only scanned 21000+ objects instead of the 85000+ it used to.
The disparity between old and current scan numbers is amazing.
Why is this?
Do I have a problem?
