Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard "ALT" key not working

After buying a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard some time ago and rarely using it for the past few years (less than 24hours of time using it), when attempting to bring it out to do some small work, I noted the ALT key no longer works.I used the Keyboard Test Online and did confirm my ALT key when pressed, is not received by my PC.I plugged my Bluetooth USB (provided with keyboard) into another laptop and can confirm the ALT key still does not function.I have pondered trying to pry key from keyboard and check underlying mechanics are ok, but am unsure how I can take key out without damaging
