Microsoft Sculpt consistently misses first keystroke- how can I resolve this?

Hi There. It seems like this is a constant issue and the resolutions for many answers in the community have not helped me thusfar. Ever since I've purchased this keyboard, it drops keystrokes. Most notably, the first keystroke if I stop typing for a moment. Its almost as if the keyboard goes to sleep and the first keystroke wakes it up.I am on two Windows 10 systems - my work computer and my personal computer. Each has the exact same issue. My personal computer allows me admin rights (obviously) so I am able to update/download more freely there. My device manager tells me the drivers are all u
