Microsoft Print to PDF is creating MS-Dos Application Instead of PDF

Hello-I am using the "Microsoft Print to PDF" option of the printer options in the drop-down menu to print (a pdf) as a pdf as I've done numerous times prior, and suddenly, it is printing as a MS-Dos Application. I have deleted the incorrect copy and attempted to reprint with the same outcome. Why is this happening and how do I fix it please?
