Microsoft Photos App

I cannot upload the files that I want into the Microsoft Photos app when making videos. The files are on my computer or on a USB. The files are visible on my computer and on the USB. However, when I try to load the files onto the Photos app they do not appear in the location that they have recently been saved to, even thought they were visible before trying to upload them to the app.
