microsoft office document imaging

I just upgraded from Office 2003 to 2007. I work with tiff files and have "told" my computer to open these files with MS Document Imaging. Now, I can open Document Imaging, and then open the tiff files from there, but if I try to open the tiff files by double-clicking on them in their directory, I get a "not a valid win32 apllication" error.
