Ok I bit the bullet and followed the instruction posted by Microsoft and
translated for me in simple terms by Shenan
..
Everything seemed to go great no error messages while downloading and
everything came back
stating all the info had been installed great . I am proud of myself.

All that being said this is the
final result

1 I still had the yellow sign in my task bar telling me I have updates to
install . When I click on this it tells me I need to install KB928367

2 I go Microsoft update page and it shows me that Kb 928367 needs to be
installed

3 I go to add/remove programs in control panel and this is what I have
listed
Microsoft.net framework V1.0.37505
hot fix KB886906
1.1 and 1.1 hotfix 928366
2.0 and 2.0 hotfix 928365
3.0 and hotfix 932471

I have supposedly downloaded KB928367 several
times with success on my Update history but not recognized on my PC

I got rid of the yellow triangle by taking the check mark out of the box and
telling it not to ask me again. When I go back and check for updates it
tells me I have asked to hide a critical update and do I want to restore .
For the time I will just leave it hidden

Any suggestions please and thank you

Temporarily disable the installed antivirus program from real time
monitoring of the system.
Download KB928367 and *save* it:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E4-069B-4CE8-976E-9A01345A8603&displaylang=en

When the download is complete, close the browser and any other open
programs.
Now run NDP1.0sp3-KB928367-X86-Enu.exe
Restart the system if requested to.
Did that get it installed ?

REMEMBER to reenable the AV afterwards !
